Stayed here in this year, love it! We changed more that 20 different places to stay in Bali, and this is one of the greatest for digital nomads couple. There are different types of rooms: street-side (with more air, a little bit noisy from scooters, but cheaper) and a pool side, very private but more expensive. Room is big, has stylish furniture. Has A/C and fan, we use mostly fan. We stayed in both, can't decide which is better. Owners are very friendly, answers quickly by WhatsApp. We also rented here motorbike, like new Honda PCX. Has also option of Scoopy, Nmax. I also personally recommended this place to my friends from Russia, after they stayed here, they loved it.

We had a pleasant 16-day family stay at Villa Marene in July 2017. We had reserved 6 rooms for 12 people. The owners Betty and Daniel were always present, discreetly, to respond to our requests, to give us ideas for excursions, places to see, restaurants to eat. The staff is pleasant, smiling, helpful, professional, always ready to help. As announced, the rooms and common areas were cleaned every day. The villa is pleasant, with a beautiful decoration in the traditional Balinese spirit - with a touch of Buddhism -, with volumes open to nature, a flowered and well-maintained garden, with the essential geckos present every evening (in India, a house without a gecko is a sign of the evil eye), from time to time a funny little frog in the bathroom which further added to the charm of this house. The swimming pool is beautiful, clean. The view of a rice field allowed us to follow all the stages of rice production in 15 days, starting with a harvest on a plot, then sowing, until the transplanting of the plants. We thank the owners and their team for their warm welcome.

If you want to rent a scooter and don't want to have too much headache that your rented scooter isn't insured, better rent your insured vehicle from a fantastic guy. Daniel is very, better extremely helpful if you've any questions, even not related to your scooter. I rented from him and if not buying a new one, I would continue rent from him
